BD9486F是白色LED用高效率驱动器，适用于大屏幕液晶驱动器。BD9486F内置了可向光源（LED串联连接的阵列）提供适当电压的DCDC转换器。
BD9486F中内置了应对异常状态的几种保护功能。过电压保护(OVP: over voltage protection), 过电流检测(OCP: over current limit protection of DCDC), LED 过电流保护(LEDOCP: LED over current protection), 过升压保护(FBMAX: over boost protection)等。因此，可在更宽的输出电压条件及负载条件下使用。
